How to join.
Oxbow is open to anyone with a licensed Minecraft: Java Edition account. There is no signup, whitelist, or trial clock.

Start Minecraft
Launch Minecraft: Java Edition 26.2 with your own licensed account.

Add the server
Choose Multiplayer, then Add Server, and enter the address
play.oxbowmc.com. -
Join
Select Oxbow and join. You arrive in the protected hub with a short guide.
Up to 20 players can be online at once for now. Bedrock Edition and unlicensed (offline-mode) accounts cannot join.
Survival beyond the hub.
The grand hub is safe ground. Everything outside it is ordinary survival where PvP and raiding are allowed, so where you build and what you carry matter.

Spawn in the protected grand hub, where PvP and block breaking are off.

Take the east path out, gather supplies, and hide a base. Sleep in a bed there to respawn nearby.

Playing Oxbow is free and stays free. A small supporter shop may open later; it will only ever sell cosmetic items.

Adults are the intended audience; keep everything you build and say suitable for all ages.
- Play fair: no hacked clients, x-ray, duplication, or other exploits.
- The hub is protected. Outside it, PvP and raiding are part of the game.
- No harassment, hate speech, doxxing, scams, or spam.
- No wagering, gambling, or trading for real money.
- Keep real names, addresses, and other private information out of chat and builds.

Can I join now?
Yes. Add play.oxbowmc.com under Multiplayer in Minecraft: Java Edition 26.2 and join with your licensed account.
Will I need to pay?
No. Oxbow is free to play. If a supporter shop opens, it will sell cosmetic items only; buying or not buying never changes what you can do in game, and free play never expires.
Are bases safe?
Only the grand hub is protected. Bases outside it can be found and raided, so hide yours and keep valuables in more than one place. The world is backed up off the server every six hours.
What does Oxbow record?
The game server records your Minecraft name and account ID, when you play, your chat, and block changes, to run the world and investigate griefing or cheating. This page has no forms, accounts, advertising, or analytics; the hosting provider handles technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver the page.

Is Oxbow an official Minecraft service?
No. Oxbow is an independent server for Minecraft: Java Edition. It is not approved by, associated with, or endorsed by Mojang or Microsoft.
